COLOR INFORMATION

If you have completed the Power Series: Level 2 DVD and wish to learn more about the Munsell color system. We recommend:

PAINTS

There are many brands of paint out there, and of the many brands there are the two main types used for airbrushing.

These are:

Water Based:

Usually an Acrylic where the main volume of the paint is made up of water. These paints, though not completely safe they are considerabley safer than their solvent based counterparts.

Water Based Airbrush Paint Brands include:


     * Medea Com Art

     * ETac

Solvent Based:

Solvent Based paint is commonly reffered to as "urethanes" or "Base coat". It is most commonly used in Automotive Airbrushing and any metal based products like Airbrushing fridges or computers. Its mainly a chemical make-up of thinners and solvents and should not be used without adequate ventilation and face masks/ventilators.
